Hi everyone,
Before christmas I traveled to Panorama for four days and foreran the Miele Cup events there. I had only had a couple of days on snow and was awesome to be able to run a full length course so early on in training. I had the opportunity to train some gates in between forerunning so that made it a good training block. I also made the most of what the upper mountain had to offer; awesome terrain, good snow and the occasional ray of sunshine that was lacking on the lower mountain.
Unfortunately the weather was not in our favour and it was foggy for the first GS and snowed for the other GS and two Slalom races. I used my time at Panorama to figure out my new equipment and to regain my balance and feel for the snow.
I returned to Calgary on Tuesday night and trined GS at Nakiska on Wednesday. I have had a few days off over Christmas which has been great and the plan over the next few days is to ski GS tomorrow, followed by a slalom block up until New Year.
