Semester one exams and my return to New Zealand are rapidly approaching.

My time in Adelaide is going really quickly.  There is only six weeks until exams and eight weeks before I go back to Christchurch.  I had a great mid semester break.  In the first week I flew down to Melbourne to meet my parents.   We spent a few days exploring Melbourne before driving the Great Ocean Road.  It was great to have a break from studying and to see some amazing scenery.  The coastline of Victoria is very rugged and beautiful.  A large part of the coastline consists of large cliffs, including the section of coasline where the Twelve Apostles are.  We spent five days exploring Victoria before driving back to Adelaide.

In regards to my injury status, my overuse injury that I have in my lower legs is on the mend.  I am doing my rehabilitation at the moment and it is going well.  I am back to jogging/running for short periods of time which is a huge improvement from where I was a few months ago.  I am going to continue on a slow and steady recovery program.  The last thing I want is to rush back on snow only to find that the problem is still there.  I don't know if I will be back on snow this winter in NZ or overseas, I will have to wait and see how things are progressing closer to the time.  I want to make sure I am in good shape as well as injury free when I get back on snow.  One thing that is certain is that I will be back.  I am not retiring due to injury as I still have unfinished business.

In the meantime I am thoroughly enjoying the student lifestyle.  It is quite busy with assignments and study to be done but as they say, work hard and play hard too!  I would rather be skiing but I am definitely making the most of the opportunity that I have been given to study abroad.
