Heat waves are rising off the freshly raked golden sand of St Kilda beach, its 34 degrees and my pale ski bum skin is sizzling in the heat.
I chose the perfect week to arrive to Melbourne... that is if you enjoy being roasted in your own skin like the delicious little chestnuts from the hippie cart in Wanaka. Australia greeted me with a run of three sweltering forty-degree days.
Friday the first of August, we are lacking snow and the rain is pounding down but our spirits were up as we headed to the New Zealand Snowboarder magazine 60th issue celebration at Gin and Raspberry in Wanaka.
