Sweet, so I finally have things sorted for my brief Northern Hemisphere trip.
After a battle to scrape together enough funding I will be heading to Canada for 3 weeks for some training and 2 world cup races.
It will be a bit tough to achieve my goals of a podium finish as this will be my only time on snow since the NZ season finished. And to make things a little bit harder, my coach Adam Dooney wont be travelling with me for this trip.
I will be hanging out in dirty old Whistler for the first 2 weeks training on the boardercross course with Tyler Mosher from Canada and hopefully some coaching from Candice Drouin the Canadian Adaptive Snowboard Team Coach.
From there I will make my way to Lake Louise around the 2nd of April. Lake Louise is hosting 2 WSF (World Snowboard Federation) Para-Snowboard World Cups. This is in the boardercross event. A large turn out of international athletes expected including Evan Strong from USA coming off back to back wins at the French World Cups and taking out the X-Games Adaptive title.
So off to pack my bags this weekend and tidy up some work. Going to be a very hard 3 weeks away from my little man. Lets hope I can bring home a medal for him to suck on!!.
I will keep this updated as I can in Canada so keep looking for some updates.
