It's the second week of exams at Otago Uni and between snow days and pint nights,I've had no trouble finding distractions. Nonetheless I have still managed to get through my first two exams, market research and design fundamentals fairly smoothly and after my final exam on Tuesday, I'll be making my move to Queenstown for the winter!

On Tuesday it snowed to sea level in Dunedin. There were cars passing outside my downtown, George St flat with chains on, school was out and the airport was closed. With best intentions I pretended to study for a bit but everyone else at the library was flipping out too so we gave in and went out for a play. I headed up to Morningtonpark with Scotty, Mark, Tom and Leigh to check out a handrail.

I knew my first day back on skis since I injured my knee shouldn't include hucking myself onto urbans and when I saw the run in and the muddy landing I was more than happy to leave the boys to it. The guys sessioned the rail for ages and created quite a scene with the Mornington locals. I think everyone was feeling a bit rusty and were keeping in mind its only early days and there's no need to get wrecked, but they still stepped up and delivered in style. Nice work boys!

Today I was in Auckland for an appointment with my surgeon about my knees ACL reconstruction at the end of last year. I've been rehabbing for 8months and was super anxious to see if he would be happy for meto ski this season. All the stair sprints and cold mornings paid off and I was given the clear! A massive thanks to everyone who helped to fix me!!!

After my appointment and a manic taxi ride to Parnell, I caught up with Rich at Oakley, did lunch with Andie, my friend from high school and hit up Queen and High streets for a power shop.

It was a good day but now I'm heading back to reality to cram for my final exam!

Will check in from Queenstown next week.

Ella
