It's almost hard to believe it's only mid-June.
I just spent three days over in the big QT for the SBINZ Examiner Training, where all 20-something Snowboard Examiners from around NZ come together to talk tech, get their snow-legs back and make sure everyone's on the same page. It's a fun few days, with actually much less focus on the tech side of things than one would imagine.
Sunday and Monday were the on-snow days, and man... I was impressed. The snow at Coronet Peak right now is awesome; super-dry with decent coverage. Exchange was definitely the highlight, with lots of pockets of wind-blown fresh and plenty of fun cut-outs and other features to get playful with. If you're in the area and haven't been up yet, you gotta do it!
I took a while to get used to the new deck (Agent 155 reverse-camber), but after de-tuning the edges a little and getting some flow back I found it to be a super-fun board with a rad surfy feeling and still the pop you'd expect from a cambered stick. Stoked!
