Engadin Snow!!

Once again Engadin Snow in Silvaplana, St Moritz, Switzerland, puts on an impressive show!!

After thankfully surviving a gnarley crash in the first tour stop in Chamonix, I headed back to my base in Mayrhofen, Austria. I rode park for the next couple of days in mint sunny conditions.

It was then time to head to the next comp on the list - Engadin Snow - a level 3 Free Ride World Qualifier competition held in Silvaplana, St Moritz in Switzerland. The event puts the invited athletes in an amazing hotel with lots of yummy food and everything paid for. The competition is held on a daunting big face and if that's not enough the athletes are repelled down from the tram onto the venue - snowboard and all!

Unfortunately the conditions (again) weren't very good... icy with wind blown snow kept me from doing the line I wanted and I am very very keen to get to the next competition (with apparently awesome conditions and new snow!!)

Good friend Susan Mol took out first place after taking out first place in Chamonix as well - so stoked for her!

Now after a game of ice hockey with the organisers, I am milking one more free night in the hotel with paid food and then we are off to Fieberbrunn, Austria for the second stop of the Free Ride World Tour. Amped!!

Will keep an update of how everything goes.

Cheers, Maria.
