More than ever

My official website is: www.wix.com/neilwilliman/freeskier

I'm Neil

I'm 24

I was born in Blenheim, moved to Wanaka '03-'05 and Christchurch for uni '06-'09, where I skied a lot and somehow got an honours in Natural Resource Engineering. During uni I managed 2 northern hemisphere winters in Squaw Valley, Tahoe, California and one in Chamonix, France. And now.... well not all those who wander are lost.

I like all kinds of skiing, my favourites are big mountain and backcountry. I also like mountaineering, fire dancing, playing gutair, being outside and travelling.

The photo above is of me looking out of the window of the Arthur's Pass Chappel at snowy trees and a waterfall during a storm. I'm not a religious man but this building is beautifully designed to fit into its surroundings, which I like a lot. It has won several awards for architecture and I'd recommened checking it out, it's next to the bridge in Arthur's Pass township. I think it's interesting that it is an open building for anyone to go into but that a lot of people avoid it (and it's beauty) because they're not religious. I find thinking about things like that interesting, and it often causes me to digress from what I'm meant to be talking about or concentrating on, like I am right now. I don't think that this is neccessarily a bad thing.

I've had a lot of fun and interesting adventures and I plan to have more, and write about them. Hopefully you find them funny and interesting enough to read them, I'll try and put pretty pictures next to the words too. For more about me you can check out an interview I had once, or a sweet newspaper article that my journalist buddy Anna Pearson wrote about me:
