New to the team for 2012, a Swedish champion freeride skier, Elias Henderson, is heading to Porters. Joining the Porters snow sports team this winter, Elias will be coaching our 2012 freeride programme.

Coming off a number of podium results in recent winters in European events, Elias is excited to join us in 2012 for a Southern Hemisphere winter season at Porters. Here's a little insight into Elias...

Hey!

My name is Elias Henderson, I'm born and raised in Sweden, Lulea. Skiing is my passion in life, I try to be as diverse as possible when skiing. I think that it's really important to be able to ski everywhere on the mountain to be an complete skier, then I can pick parts from every aspect in to the park and try new things on different features and be as creative as I can. The snow park is a good way to learn new tricks and get secure in the air.

When you start to get these in order, you can take them all over the mountain. In this way, you have a really big playground. I have been skiing in the park for a very long time, competed and won a few competitions, and had a few photos in a French ski magazine. This is what I like to do, if you feel interested? Come and ride with me!

As you can see, Elias is big on freeride skiing. For those who are interested to learn from him at Porters this winter, you need to lock in your spot now! Porters training academy groups fill up fast, especially in the freeride programme. Get online now, book and pay before 30th April, and you save up to $10 per day of your coaching.
