SPRING TRAINING
Coronet Peak and Mt.Hutt lived up to their awesome reputations this Spring, delivering some wicked early morning hard snow and lovely weather. Blue-bird skies are always great to have around! Thanks so much to Spud at Coronet and Dave and Grant at Hutt for their support in creating such great training environments. It was fun to see it snow just before Coronet was closing, even got in some pow runs on Rockie Gully for a change!
The North Island was calling - jandals, whanau, swimming, t-shirts and shorts - so heading home to the Tron to unpack my bags was a pretty nice feeling. On the way though, I had a fun stop in Christchurch. Thanks to Dave Boyd of Formthotics and Fiona Stevens of Snowvision, I spent a day with Dave having new Formthotics fitted for my Ski Boots and Running Shoes. This was part of winning the 2009 Formthotic Snowvision Performance Award as the Best World Ranked Female NZ Ski Racer. My feet are loving it!
NZSIA TRADE-SHOW
That unpacking of the bags was over in a few days as I headed off to Taupatron for the Snow Sports Industry Trade Show. The Colorado Traders stand with Noel, Jenny and H-dog was where I was at and enjoyed helping them show everyone what the brand Scott is really made of! Goggles, poles, gloves, hats and more were on show for 3 days and we did really well and had a lot of fun. The cowboy themed party night was super fun too, as was winning the Emu ugg boot race and a free pair of uggs!
So now it's time to enjoy being at home in the tron, organise things for heading overseas in early November and - of course - have fun !!!
