I bet the person responsible for the reports is the type that hangs their hand bag on the indicators in their car. Either that or they have their cap so low they can't see the top of the computer screen where the weather icon is showing. Turoa is currently cloudy, expect scattered rain below 2200m (the Alpine Meadow is at 1600m) with winds increasing to gales of 75kph before easing later in the day. Hat and goggles then.
Mt Hutt is open today with moderate to strong northerly winds rising to 65kph at the top later in the day. Winds will ease on Friday and Saturday is LOOKING MIGHTY FINE!!... before the winds kick in again on Sunday.
Coronet Peak is open, another hat and goggle day today. Cloud thickening, light rain expected. Winds tending N, gusty at times, Freezing level 2000m. Expect cloud and moderate winds until Friday. Saturday looking like the best bet for this week with westerly breezes and clear conditions.
Mt Lyford is due to open on Friday although with strong northerlies and rain in the forecast I would bet on Saturday being the actual day. The weather this weekend looks great so get on up to Lyford this weekend for their first for 2009.
Dobson is opening on Sunday with a FREE DAY. Clear conditions with light westerlies should make for a perfect photo op, so dust of your gear and head to up there!!

Another fron from this system will come in from the north on Friday clearing again on Saturday. The good news is that the southerlies and the colder conditions will return from Sunday.
