At the other end, the scaffolding set-up was looking a bit bare. Half of the world's population gathered to lift the massive flat down box courtesy of Snow Park NZ into place. Next was the sweet urban down rail sourced from the local Wanaka, snowdrifta.com crew. chur!

Speights Summit arrived with a stack of sweet banners and couple of boxes for the crew helping out, further the good cats from RedBull rock on up with several trays of energy. Boys in the techie tent set the sounds cranking and the snow haul began!
A 20 strong crew of volunteers proved their 50 cents worth, shoveling the 25 cubic meters or so of snow up the top of the set up. Many snow balls were thrown, many jokes were made, in the end we had a pretty dope run in with skillfully sculptured lips courtesy of Andy Marr, Blake Lepper and Zak Hogg and pleantiful run out.

THE NIGHT!

Light towers on, DJ pumpin some jazzy fizzles, bar taps flowing, judges in their raised couch, crowd amping for a good times, riders gearing up and BAM! the 2009 Emberley Rail Jam kicks off for a sweet sweet start...
With an epic rider turnout we had to make an effort to see everyone get chance to throw down... A total of 4, jam format heats saw a group of 10 of the slickest skiers and 10 of the sickest boarders through to the final rounds. Some of the Skiers in particular pushing the limits throwing fronties, backies and a brave Rodeo 7 through the middle to flat...

NB: Due to weather conditions it may be apparent that there is a lack of skier photos. Mother nature decided it'd be mint to start the raining for the ski finals, scared the Photographers and their expensive equipment inside. Yet the boys and girls kept on shreddin the shizz out of the set up and a good crowd remained until we had some results...

Results!

Winners in each division received a Burton snowboard or a pair of Moment Skis along with $150 cash and some goodies from Snowpark and Emberley. 2nd placers received $100 cash, Boardbase riding gear and funky shizz from Snowpark. 3rd placers took home $50 cash and a pair of DC shoes. Shot oi
