King Kapisi and maitreya hit the road throughout July and August with live shows all across NZ including The Adidas Eyewear Winter Party 09, to be held at Steel Worx, Methven, July 23.
The Adidas Eywear Winter Party is in its 8th season and is one of those events you just don't want to miss. It is a culmination of music, dancing and energy brought about by the winter season and the influx of people it attracts to Methven. King Kapisi, maitreya and guests take the night away into the small hours- this will certainly be the show to be at! There will be random giveaways, drink specials and a heap of fun on the night. Both Kapisi and maitreya have albums due out Sept/Oct 2009, Kapisi will drop his much anticipated 4th album Hip Hop Lives Here and maitreya will release his debut Close To Home.
KIng Kapisi has maintained a busy schedule since the release of his last album, 2005's Dominant Species, including; performing overseas; songwriting collaborations with international artists; developing his Overstayer Clothing label; working with Adidas international and the All Blacks to help create the music for a global rugby campaign and even writing songs for a future reggae album under the name Mr Majesty.

maitreya, the first Hip Hop artist to raise US50K on SellaBand.com to record his debut album has just returned from tours throughout UK, Europe, Hong Kong and New York as well as producing Portuguese band Nearfield's debut album Time4War.
