Lynne Dickinson of Curl Magazine takes us through the Lindauer Drinking Processes...(ahem, 'LEARNING' process)

Salomon Lindauer Ladies Week
By Lynne Dickinson

If you want something truly worthwhile to do this winter, head to the slopes and join the Salomon Lindauer Ladies week. I was fortunate enough to attend the first session of the year and joined a group of enthusiastic women on the slopes of Turoa.

We spent a week in perfect sunshine relearning how to ski. I have to admit it was a fairly humbling experience being taken back to basics but I can honestly say it was well worth it. The week was spent skiing with our fantastic instructor, Mich, who guided us all patiently through the learning process. We met each day at the Alpine Café where we gained instruction, guidance and even video analysis.

The sessions on the snow were informative and thanks to Mich, highly enjoyable and at times hilarious as she had us skiing down the mountain with our ski poles acting as "tit bazookas!" The nights were also a great time to bond with our group over drinks, dinners and even the technical night at the Snow Centre where we learned about the advances in women specific skis and the importance of well fitting boots!

Most of our time was spent on the slopes skiing and our instructors also set up a slalom course for us to try, which was fantastic. The Salomon Lindauer Ladies week is something I would recommend to anyone. Whatever your level of skiing there is something new to be learned. Skiing for a week with a group of like minded ladies all keen on improving their skills was fantastic and now I am saving up for those Salomon Topaz skis!
