The first snow trip of the year was an adventure from the start. After a quick surf at Kaikoura we headed south battling through one of the heaviest snow storms to hit in 15 years.
Coronet Peak turned it on last week for the School Holidays after a shaky and cold start to the week. Strong westerlies kept some of the lifts closed in the morning. At lunchtime the winds eased and the ski field fully opened up. Fresh powder, blue skies and wide open runs!
All the above images take with a Lumix DMC-FT3 from Panasonic. This camera is fully loaded with a heap of features to get into.
