About Methven Heliski
Reputation for excellence
Methven Heliski has forged an international reputation since its founding in 1986. Our attention to detail, focus on safety and personal service allow us to deliver the best heliskiing experience on offer in New Zealand.
Kevin Boekholt has been Methven Heliski's Director since its foundation and has developed the unique feature of our heliski operation - the close links all staff have to providing the best day's heliskiing or heliboarding possible for all our guests.
Guests to Methven Heli rapidly become part of the heliski family, with many becoming familiar faces and often following Kevin around the world on heliski adventures.
Everything you need!
Methven Heli has a package to suit you. From multi-day trips for the experienced skier & boarder, to single runs for those new to heliskiing.
The Perfect 5 run day
The Perfect Day is our 5 run, standard package, including transfers from Methven to our helipad at Glenfalloch Statio. Five incredible runs interrupted only by a gourmet home-cooked lunch and guided by one of Methven Heli's professional, friendly and highly qualified guides.
Discerning skiers and boarders have the option to charter their own private heli and escape in to the mountains for a day of private, guided heliskiing or boarding.
One and 3 run options
Methven Heli has partnered with Mt Hutt Heli to give you affordable, accessible heliskiing options right from the car park of Mt Hutt Ski resort.
Glenfalloch Station - more than a heli pad
Chas and Dietlind Todhunter are your hosts at this working high-country sheep station nestled at the foot of the Arrowsmith and Ragged Ranges, at the headwaters of the Rakia River. Glenfalloch makes a stunning staging area for our safety briefings and helipad.
Located approximately an hour's drive from Methven, your journey to Glenfalloch Station gives you the chance to gain a perspective on the local high-country environment, from river valley to sub-alpine, before heading to the true high-alpine for your heliskiing adventure.
Dietlind Todhunter prepares each trip's delicious banquet lunches right on site, using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. So you know your meals are as fresh as they can get!
Please enjoy your stay...
Not only is Glenfalloch Methven Heli's high country home, but this working farm also boasts accommodation and conference facilities that can cater to both small and large groups.
Homestay packages are available in a range of accommodation options from bed and breakfast packages to modern conference facilities for corporate groups.
Heliskiing isn't the only activity on offer either, Chas and Dietland are able to organise walks, fishing, claybird shooting, and mountain biking tours.
Don't feel like an early morning drive?
Well then Glenfalloch may be just the option for you. Spend the night before you heliski at the farm, and enjoy a delicious home cooked breakfast while the rest of the group make their way to the farm from Methven.
