Here's a couple of funny things from the weekend.
Funny thing #1 - Freshtracks and I stayed in Raetahi on Saturday night. I took my guitar and was belting out a few tunes when a car alarm from a car within the camping ground goes off. 10 minutes later its still going and I comment on 'who the dickhead is that doesn't realise their car alarm is sounding'. 5 minutes later there is a knock on our door asking if any of us own the Suzuki with the 'out-of-control' car alarm. haha it was my bloody Suzuki!!! Funny thing is I have never used the alarm from day one and have owned the vehicle of 3 years. Its never set so dunno why the damn thing was going. Anyway I skulk outside and put the key into the ignition which stop the noise.
Funny thing #2 - Up at Turoa the next day and met up with CCS on the Giant. I mentioned that I was having the odd bit of difficulty getting off the giant without falling and said I hoped I didn't take her out. Thankfully 3 times up the Giant with CCS I managed to get off the chair and skate to safety without any incident. So I take a rest and bid farewell to CCS and then after sending a couple of txts I line up and end up sharing the chair with a guy and his extremely attractive girl friend. I figured I had the giant pretty sussed by now so just enjoyed the view ... and the riding and skiing going on below ... as we headed for the end of the chair ride. As we prepare to stand and skate off the chair I must have tried to stand a little early and in doing so the chair seemed to push me slightly ahead but also a little left and as we hit the downslope part my board veered into the path of the girlfriend and I took her out solidly. DOH!!! I issued a thousand apologies and (again) skulked away towards the Why nots.

Depending on the alarm it could have been caused by low battery voltage. Keep an eye on it 
obviously the days of my dashing good looks having that effect have passed 
Showing my daughter how to do a flat 360 spin at speed last week which turned into me showing her a 360 -> cartwheel -> yardsale as I cleverly dug an edge in.
Thankfully no footage and the snow was nice and soft (Wed).

lol... my chair exits were also challenging, i forgot to get a stomp pad for my new board and it not being there gave me some challenges, i could only go straight off the chair and almost bailled and took some people out.. oh dear
Blunts car had a dodgy battery..i had to jump start it for him..otherwise he would have enjoyed the day camping in a field in the RA

^^^ its been ok since then too. Started ok at the end of the days riding yesterday and this morning no probs. Going to disconnect the alarm and buy a new battery.

I'm quite enjoying Danes track 'Always be Here' - it has a very international rock sound. As for Johhnys new single 'Take me Home' I wish he would go home ... all the way back to the Mother Land!!! To think that twat gets funding from NZ OnAir - meh!

haha knew it was going to be an epic day on Sunday so told my mate i'd pick him up at 5.30am outside his house... the alarm didnt go off and i got up at 6.20am... he even came over and bashed on the door to wake me up... i picked him up and went up.... awesome day... haha he wont let me forget that he waited in the cold for 45 minutes though and sprayed me twice after i bailed hard...
woot - taken Monday and Tuesday off for next week ... gonna score me some midweek madness.

Saturdays are out for me now because I teach guitar on Saturday mornings during school term. Might try for next Sunday and Monday with Tuesday as a backup in case.

Thinking of heading up for the weekend ostensibly to retrieve my skis/boots from club locker. Not sure if I can ski (only 2 months since I broke the ankle) but might give it a go. Walking Ok but still a little painful. Can't inline skate yet but that requires much more balance and ankle strength/flexibility than skiing. Have to say confidence a bit shot.

not me wit bandana thats roosta26 who posts here sometimes. pow day at squaw today (sorry i mean wet slush:laugh met some local shredders who showed us some good lines on granite chief and the backside of broken arrow. set off a half decent slide 1st run on kt22 as well. sux not having lift lines u dont get a rest

yeah bro i know, i think you know the guy im talking about. thats the problem with having guys that dont surf on a surf forum. might play a round of golf at genoa lakes course bro, last years us open qualifier was played there. should be a good way to destroy my game
