1, 2, or 3? PM Me for some nostalgia goodness
Epic monoboard action...

EDIT: Rewatching 2 now, lol, how was this stuff ski film worthy? This guy just went up a windlip, went upside down, threw away his poles and landed on his head. He was in a yellow one-piece with a pink bum-bag though, hahaha.
This movie has some very worthy impacts in it though, I have to say.

Double edit:
Oh my god, this movie is the best thing ever. Why are they jousting on pedal boats?! WHY?!

Have you seen the Bizzard of Ahs? Apparently retro 80s action. Best recent one I have seen (for serious skiing) is a doco call "Steep". Not a Warren Miller yawn-fest.

Yep, got that one too. Skiing is actually decent at times... Scott Schmidt sends it real big at least a few times. Kinda amusing that a 360 is about as technical as they get.

Steep is ooooold news... good film though.
There's been a helluva lot of good films recently, although that may only apply if you have an appreciation for park skiing.

Everyone snow-sporty should download Nimbus Independent's webisode "On Route - Japan" though. It's free and it's excellent.

Takes me a while to catch up Rozboon Will check out that "On Route Japan". I think we should make our own film. Only stipulation is that you have to star wearing a batwing one-piece and straight skis (probably why they could only do 360s in the 80s )

Last night I had the snowiest dreams yet this season.

Highlight was a snowmaking system that used weedmat type black netting on the top of a lake and produced a whopping 80 snowflakes and hour! (WTF??? haha)

Snow fever....

Snow fever and I have to have it
Crazy Dr Feelgood he encouraged my habit
All his time he would devote to discover the antidote
And he said cry tough on your crutches too
You were born to be a skiing fool

Apologies to Nils Lofgren.....

Random post time:
"Commercial airliners have a strange ability to create rain and snow when they fly through certain clouds. Scientists have known for some time that planes can make outlandish 'hole-punch' and 'canal' features in clouds. A new study has found that these odd formations are in fact evidence that planes are seeding clouds and changing local weather patterns as they fly through. In one case, researchers noted that a plane triggered several inches of snowfall directly beneath its flight path."

Yeah James, as soon as the game ended I knew I would get the blame for them not winning cause it was the 1st one I had gotten up for

After the last 2 kiwi games some of our supporters stayed in the stands singing for about an hour after games but the police went in in riot gears 25mins after last nights game to clear them out, don't think it was anything major, check out stuff.co.nz for article.
Would have been minor stuff for what the South African riot police are use to dealing with anyway

Managed to tick off 3 Chill fields so far and 5 days riding plus the pre-season hike, its all good so far

if theres bush around, kiwis stink (to a dog) and are very easy for them to find and kill due to soft bones.
also if a kiwi comes across dog scent where a dog has walked, it will not cross it and can get cut off from food, home, etc.

on the side.
doc in ohakune just caught a feral cat that in 3 days killed 180+? bats, just off the mt rd

ah yes the elusive snow kiwi found only in skifiled carparks. you raise a valid point except most of the SI hills are well above the treeline. also why is it sweet to take dogs hunting in the bush then? a hunting dog is gonna cause more trouble for them? CP has a dog race each year,TC doesnt care and its on DOC land but then other hills are real anal about it. I guess none of them have rescue dogs

I need to find a dog-friendly field (despite rescue dogs I don't think Ruapehu is...)
My friend has a Samoyed that would love the snow (obviously!)

Usually by permit only on DOC land and if your in the area of a mass kiwi killing then you'd have a lot of explaining to do. Ofcourse like most things its more likely to be the person who didn't bother with a permit.
But yeah, I'd love to take my Huskie up the hill - he could help tow me up!

^ Wow. No holds barred. Lets all get crazy! "if I had a facebook page" I would comment, but then people would see my profile, look at my pictures and know what my vehicle looks like, and then look on here and see that i cover the stuff in the back of my truck with a blanket, and then look for my truck and break into it to get said things from under the blanket and perhaps the blanket itself as its quite warm and in good condition... thats "if I had a facebook page".

Calm down everyone. You're taking this too seriously.

hmmm so doc owns the access rd land at porters and has supposedly banned dogs from the carpark yet 8km down the road doc owns cheesemans access rd and high conservation value beach forest and allows dogs on leashes. double standard, bullsh1t or something im missing here?
