Yup those are my ski's which he travelled over half of the trip on , and the hardest part by far too. Have not laid eyes on them yet since the trip yet, however I suspect they got a beating, we have already agreed that these ones will be split between us one each as a momento of his achievement and as a record of the first ski (or board!!!) I ever built. These babies were overcambered due to some thermal issues, which I overcame before the 2nd pressing (a board) I did so all that is under control, with the excessive camber Erik had to downhill these rather than teleturns and once he mastered them he recons they were sweet as. Nice and light and strong thats for sure! I am stoked he nailed the trip and its great to build ski's for your mate and see them get totally owned!

That's definitely an awesome accomplishment, amazing. I wonder how much actual skiing he got in on that trip.

It was mostly skiing and skinning, mixed in where necessary with some climbing where necessary and some walking of course when avo conditions kept him in the trees or he broke gear..... some of the pics of his tracks are awesome which will all come out in due course I am sure! cheers

Amazing achievement for Erik and really good test for your skis Rich. Looks like they stood up to the abuse thrown at them. Seems like they are good indicator as to how tough your splitboards will be. Awesome to see.
