Snowplanet
Hey guys I'm going with some friends to snowplanet to teach them how to snowboard this week and I was unsure of weather or not take my board because I've heard that it gets damaged easily. What are your thoughts anybody else take their own gear there and can talk from experience or should I just hire.
Thanks guys hope you can help me out
as long as u dont run into the windows at the bottom u should be fine
seriously ive never done any damage there..far more comes from ruapehu rocks than anything in the dome

A few light scratches is all that comes. Biggest prob is the rocks and floor/rubber mats when loading poma. IF you hit the rails however, you just earned yourself an edgeless rockhopper.

rocks? wtf??
as for rails, would be the same as any skifield

Alright thanks guys. Big help!!
^there aint no rocks at snowplanet..its a building, not open air![]()

And the stuff they hire there is pretty crap, and they don't put alot into selecting the right gear for you.
So certainly worth taking your own, save you a few bucks too.
Plenty of gravel in there freshie
.
Pretty coarse snow/gravel (snow has not been completely replaced for about 3 yrs now but still gets blown regularly) so some nice hard wax helps.
Good place for skills and drills development if u can't get either south or north (hemi that is).
