shoulder protection ??
so i managed to inflict an ac separation on myself mid way through last season. Shoulder is probably 80% back to normal but still quite nervous about doing further damage when boarding this coming season.
Any recommendations regarding shoulder protection to help minimise any further damage in case of future bails (not that I ever intend to stack it but best laid plans and all that).
I've looked at some of the 661 mtn bike gear on T7 but am not convinced that is the right product. Maybe there isn't such protection for an AC injury as the joint is pushed down ?
Cheers for any recommendations

My friend rides in a POC Spine VPD Tee ( http://www.pocsports.com/en/product/1249/spine-vpd-tee [pocsports.com] ) and absolutely swears by it. Makes you look pretty buff too, haha.
Kinda tempted to get one myself, at the moment I'm just rocking a spine protector.

Any idea where he got one of these from in NZ ?
Not entirely certain - I suspect he imported it.
The POC is pretty mint, although, I'm looking to upgrade to the new VPD 2.0 Jacket - pads are all VPD rather than hard plastic on shoulders and chest. I imported it from the UK as it was a hell of a lot cheaper (if I get the 2.0 Jacket, mine will be up for sale (xs/s size). Only been worn a few times, but it was pretty choice, and definitely seems to make small to medium knocks nothing. Haven't stacked too hard with it yet, but the VPD stuff is choice as - light, conforming yet on impact hardens really well. IMO better than the D3O offerings (although, I haven't used a D3O product in a real situation, just based on feel)...Really liking the POC offerings - so much so I'm picking up one of their helmets and their VPD impact shorts too.
Gordons/Board Factory in Wellington should be able to get one in for you, and seeing as Browns (in Queenstown and Auckland) do POC helmets, they could probably get one too? Not sure where else.

i got a 661 evo chest armour thingy for this coming season, however looking at that VPD 2.0 that looks a seriously good piece of kit. Can't seem to find any prices on it yet though
