we had just scored the triangle..about 100m of blue ice at the top so no one sane enough was going there but just over the ridge...yehaaa...this was about an hour after the express opened
the ice exit is the traverse back to the high flyer..always a bit ifffy
and had to use crampons to get out of there....safely..

Some wicked pictures, certainly motivating stuff!
I have my video camera but it's hard to take stills from it as they aren't the best of quality.

Where's Limelight? Couldn't find on the trail maps.
Someone said to me in person, go with someone down backcountry (Black Magic), haha, you don't want to go off a cliff. I just said what's the easiest black if I get v v lucky with a instructor. Black Magic - easy yeah right.
By the way, I thought Home Run was lower mountain, oh well, at least Whaka has a bit more blues in the lower than Turoa.

Limelights = hike from West T - 1/2 way towards Knoll. Drop over cornice into steep bowl. End up in The Gut from memory.

Stringman,
Are you related to rooster by any chance or you do both use the same club to beat a crowd?

IE9 will be out later this year. Looks like it'll help to close the enormous gap between IE and the other browsers - IE9 will be at the leading edge of 2007 browser technology.

Yeah 2 in the 'XL' line.
First is maybe 30ft, second... I don't know. They had pushed it kinda funny for the Wells boys. I'd put it at ~60ft. Bigger than it was last year, I didn't hit it since the knuckle looked lethal and I already had wicked shinbang from sending the first one too deep
Lets see bps massive skill. got any photos of ya shreadding BP bahahahahaha
Wellington tonight.

PHLAT!!
Can we borrow the high flyer and shove it in the middle of that gully (2nd pic)
i see a few low clearance wagons at tukino park.

I noticed that too freshie. Looks like a standard legacy and a volvo so the old mans Suby with high clearance should get up there then
--------------------------------
"If in doubt, straighten 'em out"
yep! quite a few random potholes at the bottom, and some good "dips" (watch that bumper) then the usual blocky rocks round the cell towers / gate region... looks like those subies and the 4WD people mover I saw got up there fine ![]()
I've just had the exhaust repaired and my wife has banned me from the Tukino access road
I'll have to wait until they've run a grader over it and got it nice and smooth.
What were you driving?

Subaru Legacy, like that one in the picture except mine is blue.
There was more snow on the road when I attempted to go up there. I think the exhaust damage was probably going up to Hanmer Springs, same trip that finished off my rear shocks.
Rear shocks seem to be a weekness in that model, it's not just my lunatic driving
