    The Downhill Ski Club has TWO lodges. One on Whakapapa near the top of the National Chair, sleeps 34, only 6 minutes walk from the Far West Chair. The other in National Park township, sleeps 35 gives drive to the door convenience. Both are designed with skiers in mind, have large drying rooms and ski workshops. Facilities are continually upgraded by voluntary working bees. "

  • Slopes Ski Club


    Slopes Ski Club is in National Park with a fabulous view of Mt Ruapehu at its doorstep. With easy access to both Whakapapa and Turoa ski fields we cater for all types of skiers and boarders. We are located in Park Lane off Miller Street in the heart of National Park. The club has retained the self-help spirit of its early days. Members enjoy off-season work parties, and with their guests, take responsibility for meals and other duties when staying. The chalet and lodge are used year round as a place to relax or as a base for participation in the increasingly wide range of activities available in the Tongariro National Park.

  • Snowline Ski Club


    Snowline Ski Club is situated on Salt Ridge above the Bruce Rd by car park 3. The lodge can comfortably accommodate 32 people at any one time, with bunkrooms made up of four or six bunks. There is a large kitchen, dining and lounge area - complete with wood burner fire, which provides ample space for relaxation and conversation, even when the lodge is full. Other facilities available include a drying room, separate male and female bathrooms, lockers, ski racks, ski-waxing equipment, an outdoor balcony, and of course, many friendly and welcoming members.

    The club membership is made up of many families with age groups that vary from 2 years to 82 years. Membership is limited to 250 members so that all members have the opportunity to enjoy the club. The membership is currently open so please contact us and visit the website.

  • Pinnacle Ski Club (Inc)


    The Pinnacle Ski Club is located on Mt Ruapehu. The Whakapapa Lodge is located on the Whakapapa Ski Field, positioned just below the top of the Rock Garden Chair lift. Accommodating 30 people. The Turoa Lodge is located in the Turoa Resort Village, Ohakune, providing accommodation for 20 people.     Just over 2 hours from Christchurch, surrounded by mountains, it could be another world away. Amuri Ski Club is situated at Hanmer Springs Ski Area on Mt. St. Patrick, 1850m, and is an easy 40 minutes drive from the alpine thermal holiday resort of Hanmer Springs. In a good season with lots of snow there is some fabulous skiing. The ski runs cater for all stages of skiers, but especially anyone of intermediate grade who'll literally discover a mountain of fun! While all the main runs are groomed there's still plenty of virgin snow left for the experts and the more adventurous to enjoy.

    The Wakatipu Ski Club was established in June 1949 and over the years produced a large number of New Zealand ski team members as well as Olympic skiers. It is the only ski club catering to Wakatipu locals, with our hut facilities well located on Coronet Peak. Our hut includes a day room, well equipped kitchen, lounge with log burner, television & DVD, storage lockers, a large sun deck and child care facility. Personal ski lockers are available on an annual basis to our members for a small charge. The club's focus these days is on providing subsidised ski & snowboard lessons for children, childcare facilities (Polar Bear Club), and a friendly family atmosphere in the hut.

  • Rangatira Alpine Sports Club Inc.

    Rangatira is a great mountain club with warm comfortable accommodation on Mt Ruapehu, New Zealand. There are two lodges, one at Iwikau Village (Whakapapa ski field), at an altitude of approximately 1600 metres, and the other at Ohakune, at the foot of Turoa ski field.
    The first public meeting was held in December 1958 and the club was incorporated in 1959. Today the club has approximately 850 members from all walks of life. The emphasis is on skiing and snowboarding but the club is available for all mountain activities, with the lodge at Ohakune making a great base for tramping, mountain biking and a myriad of other activities available year round in Tongariro national park.
    Adult members rates are only $30 per night, including hot meals. Full membership is occasionally open to suitable applicants for a very reasonable fee.

    The Wanaka Snowsports Club does not have accommodation and is focused towards promoting competitive snowsports in the Wanaka area.

    The Wanaka Ski And Snowsports Club is the strongest represented club on N.Z. snowsports representative teams and we have many NZ Champions. We support snowboarding, cross country skiing, masters ski improvement classes, race training and freeskiing.

    Broken River Lodge offers Club style accommodation with communal living and 2 large bunkrooms with around 12 guests in each room. Guests are expected to assist with cooking and cleaning duties. Lyndon Lodge is the most modern lodge and offers a fully serviced alternative where meals are prepared by our Cook. There are smaller bunkrooms and some small rooms for couples available. White Star Chalet is our & Backpackers option, offering self-catering and self-service, communal area with kitchen-living-bunkroom all in one, separate bathroom and toilet. Guests are expected to share cleaning duties and bring your own food. There are around 14 places.

    Manganui is a unique North Island mountain experience, located in the Egmont National Park on the slopes of Mt Taranaki. It is run on a volunteer basis with Club members expected to pitch in on autumn maintenance working bees and to assist with operating the field during the winter. The new Manganui Lodge sleeps 33 and is for members and general public. Bookings essential. Joining SMC gives access to the Manganui Lodge for daily use and cheaper lift passes (season passes) and cheaper overnight stays. There is a public shelter for daily public use, containing restrooms and ticket office canteen. The Mountain House Motor Lodge has accommodation available for the public, 3km below the ski field. Come and enjoy our family friendly, uncrowded, very affordable ski area.

  • Serac


    Serac is a non-profit Club for people who want to enjoy Mt Ruapehu and its surrounding areas winter and summer and we welcome new members. Serac provides affordable accommodation for its members on both sides of the mountain with a lodge on the Whakapapa ski field and also one in Ohakune. Club members are a sociable group who enjoy snow sports and the summer alpine environment. There are always people to ski and board with during the day, and people to socialise with in the evening. Both lodges have a friendly, family atmosphere for members and guests of all ages.

    Our buildings reflect the family orientation of the Club. The generous living and dining spaces maintain the Club and family atmosphere providing members of all ages the opportunity to meet and enjoy their stay together. During the ski season each building has a chef in residence with the Lodge accommodating the resident ski instructor.

  • Takapuna Ski Club


    Takapuna Ski Club is situated on Salt Ridge above the Top of the Bruce, Iwikau, Mt Ruapehu at an altitude of approximately 1650 metres, overlooking the chairlifts. The lodge accommodates 32 people. We have a large kitchen, spacious dining room and lounge, games room, ski storage, lockers and drying room. Members of all ages and their friends enjoy a days skiing on the snowy slopes, apres ski socialising in and outside the lodge in the late afternoons and evenings, enjoying beautiful vistas and sunsets or watching young members tobogganing, building snowmen or ski jumps!

  • Aorangi Ski Club


    Aorangi is the only club in New Zealand to offer ski-in ski-out accommodation to non-members on two ski fields (Whakapapa and Tukino). It has a third lodge at the bottom of the Turoa skifield road at Ohakune Junction. Aorangi welcomes skiers and borders at all levels and all ages to enjoy a season that stretches from June to October. So whether it's the ability to ski from the door to the chairlifts at Whakapapa, or adventure on a club field at Tukino, or the aprski night-life at Ohakune, Aorangi has it all!

    "The club, the National Park Ski and Country Club (NPSCC) is designed to be small and family-oriented. Unlike many other clubs, it is self-catering. This is one way we can keep costs down, allowing all guests to organise their time and dietary requirements themselves. The club is situated in National Park, off State Highway 1, and within walking distance of pubs and restaurants. It is a short drive to Whakapapa Ski Field The club's members make guests feel welcome, and in this regard, there is a cosy lounge containing a fireplace and television. Wood is available to keep the room warm, and guests are asked to restock the wood and kindling by the fireplace for the next set of guests.p"
