Our cottage is a genuine slice of Canterbury history. Built in the 1890's it was home to the miners who worked the nearby mountains. Lovingly restored to preserve the original rustic charm, the open plan living provides for a cosy atmosphere enhanced by the open fire and wood-fired stove.

Mount Taylor Lodge is a purpose built Kiwi alpine style lodge, designed to offer guests high quality accommodation in stylish, comfortable surroundings that reflect the local Canterbury landscape. The lodge is located only a short walk from the main cafes, restaurants and bars of Methven. All 11 luxury rooms come complete with an ensuite bathroom with shower, heated towel rack, cosy central heating and TV. Some rooms also have a balcony.
