The American Express Queenstown Winter Festival starts tomorrow.
Cardrona opening tomorrow with over a metre of snow! They have the best snow since at least 2002!
The Remarks opening Saturday with a metre of snow!
Dobson opening Saturday with over a metre of snow!
Broken River opening Saturday with over a metre of snow!
Openings will be dependant upon road closures, avalanche safety and weather conditions on the day.

Arthurs Pass 40-60cms
Porters Pass 110-150cms

20th June Cardrona
21st June - The Remarkables, Dobson, Broken River
26th June Lyford
27th June - Treble Cone, Porters.
29th June - Whakapapa, Turoa, Hanmer Springs, Ohau, Snowfarm.
1st July - Queenstown Snowcats
6th July - Rainbow, Craigieburn, Cheeseman, Olympus, Roundhill.
12th July - Dobson
13th July - Tukino, Fox Peak,
Manganui are technically open but will fire up the lifts as soon as they have sufficient snow.

To our internet polls: So far it seems that 74% of voters seem to think that it is a good idea that The Remarkables is totally smoke free and Coronet & Mt Hutt no staff are able to smoke on the mountain. . VOTE NOW.

Cardrona have had AT LEAST 60cm and it is still falling heavily. Dave Collett our head groomer is calling it the best start since at least 2002… wow!
