The American Express Queenstown Winter Festival kicks off tomorrow!! I could go on about how it is the largest event on the NZ calendar or that it is in its 40th year but just follow the link to see more. Scroll to the bottom of the Winter Fest page to see the video of the 2013 highlights!!

It is also opening day for Cardrona tomorrow. They had some rain but it got cold again and they have been working around the clock to get the pistes ready. Limited opening with McDougall's Quad and Learner Conveyor operating only, but ticket will be half price. Rain consolidated snow with a manmade topping is on the cards. Best days will be Friday, Sunday & Monday. The Remarkables opens this Saturday, there will be a lot of excitement about riding the newly opened slopes up the Curvy Basin Express at The Remarks.
