We are above the low level cloud on the plains with mainly clear skies above us, calm in the base area and light breeze at the top of the mountain. Temp 3.0 degC Base Area, -3.3 degC at the Summit. Visibility is excellent. Mainly fine weather with lots of sunshine and light to moderate winds. Sunglasses and sunscreen a must today.

Road Conditions & Traffic

All vehicles must carry their own chains. All vehicles should carry chains today. There are still some icy patches on the upper section of the road which will be well gritted this morning. Please maintain two-way access where possible and note the speed on the access road is strictly 40 km/h maximum.

Snow Conditions

Mt Hutt is OPEN. We have received a light dusting of new snow overnight. The best skiing and riding will be on the main groomed trails, firm at first, softening during the day ? please ski and ride with care especially first thing this morning. Variable conditions ? mainly firm off trail with unmarked hazards. Please ski and ride to your ability level and always check signage for the terrain that you are about to enter. Respect all closures if you break a closure you will lose your pass.

The ANC Super G and Super Combined races continue today in the Redbull International Race Arena. The competition is heating up between the Nationals. We have competitors from Norway, USA, Canada, Slovenia, Japan, France, Australia, Finland, Great Britain, Korea, Israel, Russia, and of course our own National Team. Fantastic racing expected. Super G this morning/Slalom in the afternoon.
