I made a slip up in ski choice on Sunday, but that just made it a tougher and a better training session for me as I fought even harder to stay with the leading group," commented Calder.
"I was a little uncertain of my form, having had to sit out of the first 3 weeks of Norwegian Cup and World Cup races in favour of training, so it was great to be able to mix it up with skiers who have already had several weekends of racing this season and to confirm that my form is on track for peaking in February at the Olympics."
Having just recovered from a broken wrist sustained in October, Calder continued, "I am still off peak shape but am really pleased to have posted two further A Qualifying race standards for the Olympics. I exceeded my own expectations as well as my coaches."
Calder was up against a strong field of Swiss, Russians, Belorussians, Croatians, Romanians, Poles and Australians all vying for spots on their country's Olympic teams.
