Rainbow received some light snow falls over last weekend but Monday night, Tuesday and today, have added another 20-30cm to a strong base. A west/southwest depression at the beginning of the week has provided the welcome dump.
The weather is due to clear for an absolutely stunning lead up to the weekend, fresh powder will be ready go for a clear Thursday right through to the end of the weekend.
The staff on field have been working to consolidate the base with snow grooming, as well as storing snow for future use in behind the snow fences.
The terrain park has also gained a boost of snow before the Cheapskates Burton Rail and Jump Jam. This action event was postponed from last weekend and will make for a great spectacle this Saturday, lots of great prizes to be won.
Dont forget, the following weekend on 12th of September is the now famous Slush Cup where skiers and boarders water ski their way across a huge pond of ice cold slush attempting not to fall in.
If you're thinking of coming up for multiple days - don't forget about the 3 and 5 day multi day passes, or the early bird lessons at lower prices - book a 9am lesson for the next day and receive a discount on your lesson. (see the ticket office for details)
Cant get a ride from Nelson or Blenheim? Check the transport pages for transport services - and dont forget the regular shuttle service running from the base of the mountain right through the morning.
See you there - Come and make some tracks- and don't forget the sunblock - the weathers going to be perfect!
