Christchurch’s closest ski area is rolling out a special deal for family skiers and snowboarders.

The release of the Porters Ultimate Family Season Pass is sure to be well received by families throughout Canterbury, offering superb value skiing and snowboarding for the 2010 winter season.

The new Early Bird season pass of $995 entitles a family unlimited skiing and snowboarding at Porters for two adults and two children under the age of 18, with each additional child of the immediate family paying $100 extra.

Unbelievably, the adults may be parents, grandparent or an adult child of the family.

General manager, Uli Dinsenbacher comments, " We are introducing this flexible family pass to benefit the increasing number of families coming up to Porters, with three generations keen to ski and board together."

After a fantastic snow year in 2009, Porters is gearing up for the 2010 season, which promises to be a cracker if we follow the Northern Hemisphere patterns.

Over the summer period, snowmaking capacity has been increased, new rental equipment purchased, extra boot drying facilities installed, trails widened, more wind fencing built and an extensive maintenance programme implemented.

Behind the scenes, a lot of time and effort continues on the Porters Master Development Plan, focusing on gaining consents and approvals for lift and facility expansion at Porters.

Sale of Porters 2010 winter products begin 15th March 2010. For more information, please email Guy Nurse, Marketing Manager, at guy@skiporters.co.nz.
