In one of his most successful seasons to date, Jossi Wells has come out on top once again.

The field at the Austrian Freeski Open was littered with X Games competitors including freeski legend Jon Olsson (SWE), the winner of the Jon Olsson Invitational 2009, Russ Henshaw (AUS), double X Games winner, Bobby Brown (USA), and winner of the European Open 2008, Henrik Harlaut (SWE). Defending champion Elias Ambuehl (SUI) was among the competitors as was runner-up of the Austrian Freeski Open 2009, Bene Mayr (GER). In all, 14 countries were represented.

The finals day was hampered by challenging weather conditions. High winds prevented the athletes from using some of the obstacles as speeds required to clear the obstacles were unattainable.

Wells led the way throughout the event and was a worthy winner. He destroyed the park with a rodeo 450 on the kinked box and a super solid double cork 1260 mute grab.

Second place went to Australia's Russ Henshaw, with a 270 on 360 switch up and a double cork 1080 mute. Canada's JF Houle took third, beginning his run with a 450 on 270 out and finishing off with a huge bio 1080 true tail.
