Plans are well under way for the new nutcracker rope tow "The Heritage Express" is going to open up some seriously fun terrain and some of the longest runs around.

At just over 1.4km long and rising 615m vertically it should make for some exciting days on the Range. Watch this space for more details.

Hi everyone! You may have heard the rumours.... Its true, Roundhill is getting a whole lot bigger!

783m VERTICAL FOR 2010

The Heritage Express Rope Tow accesses the Two Thumb Range taking you to an elevation of 2133m, its1440m long and has a vertical rise of 632m bringing Roundhills total vertical rise to 783m - the biggest in NZ!!!

The pic below gives you an idea of just how much elevation is gained, along with a sense of the awesome terrain The Heritage Express gives you access to.... chutes, gullies and lots of steep stuff!

Below are a few pics of the installation, construction is full steam ahead with the foundations for all the lift towers now complete and the top return station well underway.
