Day one of completion saw an extremely high standard of skiing and snowboarding in simply fantastic conditions.

A still bluebird day greeted competitors and despite some firm and variable conditions the competitors managed to stick some big lines and huge drops to wow the judges and the on-looking crowd positioned in the comfort of the Whakamaru day lodge's deck.

After the first day of competition the field was halved with those that made the cut progressing onto day two, where they will have two runs to impress the judges. From Craigieburn Valley, the competition moves to Mt Olympus where the top skiers and riders will combine their top scores from both venues to decide the overall winner.
