From 5PM The Cinema Paradiso in Wanaka was a hive of activity. The Cinema was the venue for the yearly Salomon Movie Premiere – This year the movie screened was Revolver – the latest from the Poor Boyz Productions.

Salomon is a key sponsor of the movie and was granted special permission to screen this movie before it had been shown anywhere else in the world.

There was lots of local talent on hand with one of the movies stars Jossi Wells Signing autographs pre movie and Luke Potts and Byron Wells as MC's for the evening.

International Salomon athletes present at the event and signings were - Simon Dumont, Noah Bowman, Kris Atkinson, AJ Kemppainen, Henrik Halaut, Bobby Brown and Poster Boy Alexis Godbout.

The evening which comprised of two shows was a sell out - with people being turned away the door. We will be increasing showings for the next year to ensure that all those wishing to be part of the event can do so!

There were a huge amount of prizes being given away by Salomon, Atomic, NZ Skier Magazine , Red Bull and more.
Salomon New Zealands Marketing Manager - Holly Cater says "We were very lucky to have so many of our local and International athletes in town - this was in part due to the FIS Junior World Champs being held at the same time. These guys really make it a special event"

The day after the Movie Premiere the Salomon Team Members Beau- James Wells, Kris Atkinson and Noah Bowman competed in the Freestyle Ski Half Pipe. They were placed 7th, 3rd and 1st respectively.

We are looking forward to next year's event and wish to make it even bigger and better - we are hoping to combine an exhibition element - so keep an eye out for it next August.
