Rainbow Ski Area will be re-opening this Saturday 4th September with more snow and more runs, including off-piste terrain.

Finally the cold weather has arrived and delivered the goods! We can thank a strong Polar Vortex for the latest blast from Antarctica (read about it here) and predictions are for this weather pattern to continue.

Over the last twenty four hours Rainbow has received 30+ cms of fresh snow to add to the base which has been slowly building over the last two weeks, and we expect more snowfall over Friday.

Saturday is shaping up to be a perfect day with light winds, blue skies and sunshine - add to the mix cold dry powder snow and you have the perfect recipe for a great day!

With the new snowfall over the last two weeks, and the dump received today, we are confident that we will be able to open significantly more terrain than before. So, if you've been sitting at home this winter reading the snow reports and waiting for conditions to get better - wait no longer! Pack your skis and snowboards and get up to the mountain this weekend - you need to do it, and we need your support!

Season Pass holders - if you've only used your season pass a few times this winter this is your chance to get some more days in. Even better, get some of your mates in the car and bring them up with you!

We hope to be open now every day until the end of September, weather & conditions permitting. So, if you can get some time off during the week check the snow report out and come on up - mid-week the slopes are uncrowded and the queues are short!
