New Zealand’s two-time Olympian Kendall Brown qualified second today in halfpipe behind Olympic bronze medallist Kelly Clark (USA) at the Canadian Burton Open in Calgary, Alberta.

A total of 16 athletes from nine different countries took part in the women's semi-finals.

The halfpipe finals will be held tomorrow night at 7pm in the superpipe at Canada Olympic Park. The event is free for spectators.

The slopestyle semifinals will be held on Friday, followed by finals on Saturday.

The Burton Canadian Open, which is part of the Ticket-To-Ride (TTR) World Tour, is one of Canada's top snowboarding events.
