Today is shaping up to be another beauty. We currently have a gentle breeze and not a cloud in the sky. Sunscreen and sunglasses are a must as great conditions continue throughout the day with just the odd cloud later. The freezing level is stable at 2200 metres.
Road Conditions & Traffic
The road is open and chain free, however caution is advised as icy patches and loose grit can be found on the entire access road. Please remember that chains must always be carried when driving on alpine roads in New Zealand.
Average depth of 102cm
PACKED POWDER The frigid overnight temps have been perfect for making snow and the snowmaking team have made the most of it. A nice top up to the metre plus of natural snow earlier in the week has got all of our trails skiing beautifully. The snow is firm and dry and perfect for holding an edge. Off piste still has plenty to offer, but keep an eye out for unmarked hazards.
Last snowfall was 10cm on Mon, 22nd Jun
