Terrain Park
The 'Central Park' terrain park. Redeveloped over the 2008 season, 11,000m3 of earth was moved & shaped.
'Central Park' has a collection of features with something for everyone - kickers, tables, boxes, rails, rollers, jumps and platforms. It's all here for you to give it a go for the first time, or take your skills to the next level. 'Central Park' has been designed for kids of all ages and newly adventurous skiers & snowboarders in the lower section, with more challenging and adventurous features in the top section.
Round Hill have sculpted and created two massive earth 'platforms', along with rollers, kickers and spines that make up Central Park. Where the natural terrain allows, our excavator has been busy sculpting take offs & landings.
The terrain available allows them to create a range of features - they have a double rail, a flat down box, a rainbow box, 3 flat boxes, a 'C box', a 'wave box', and an 'A Frame box'.

Set in the heart of the Mackenzie basin, Roundhill Ski Area is renowned for cold crisp weather in winter with bluesunny skies. Its extensive snow making system means it can open without any natural snow and it isone of New Zealand's finest family ski areas.
The wide gentle slopes are ideal for beginners and intermediates. Roundhill is an ideal family ski area where everyone can enjoy a great day on the slopes together. It's also great for those who haven't skied for a while who want to brush up their technique, or for those wanting to make an easy transition from skiing to snowboarding.

Roundhill's main lift is a T-Bar, New Zealand's longest at 1.2km with 255m of vertical. The learner platter lift is situated on a wide gentle slope, especially for beginners. We are making the most of Mackenzie Country's cold temperatures and low humidity with our new snowmaking system, so we can guarantee Roundhill as your family ski area every season.
Roundhill offers the latest Ski and snowboard rental equipment. We also offer a comprehensive ski-school, plus café and dayroom. The newly renovated facilities combined with the views, the sunshine, the wide undulating terrain and the relaxed atmosphere create a wonderful environment for you and your family to enjoy.
